Institutional Capacity Building in Disaster Risk Management and Sustainable Development at Bahir Dar University, Ethiopia

This project is a partnership with Bahir Dar University to create a Masters of Science degree in Disaster Risk Science and Sustainable Development, as well as a Center of Excellence in Disaster Risk Management. The UA team has created a curriculum and taught four years of classes, using a combination of long-distance pedagogy and face-to-face short-term workshops. Two cohorts have already graduated with the MSc degree.
